She helped me through so many episodes, always followed up with lots of phone calls and hand holding. They are happy here in their new home in Florida and wish all the best to her in California!

Posted : 1/6/2009 Comments : To Dr. Havernick and His Employees: For the first time in life, in our forties, we are fortuate to be the owners of a really great young Esqi with a really great vet and staff.
For the first year we had him, he could not go near a kennel, nor any kind of vet environment, nor grooming facility, as a direct result of his being abandoned by a family in Marin in a kennel where they never came back to get him. Our Esqui, only four months old, was left for two months, but first taken to the grooming by the family and then providing the kennel next door with a false name and phone number later the kennel learned when no party returned from their "vacation" to take him home.
However, with Dr. Havernick's clearly extensive knowledge of different kinds of dogs with varied "issues," our experience now seeing only Dr. Havernick has tremendously decreased our Esqui's trauma, fears, and panic attacks regarding needed visits to a vet.
We can only attribute our dog's level of confidence and comfort now in varied settings he could not once manage to specifically: Dr. Havernick's routinely exhibiting incredible compassion, knowledge and patience for "special" dogs.
He spends as much time needed for each appointment to reassure our dog in every way each time we see him. This was never our experience until we saw Dr. Havernick.
Thanks to Dr. Havernick's true love and interest in "special needs" dogs (obvious to a new owner and one can see immediately),our visits have been nothing but encouraging. Each time he has seen our dog (once so nervous and anxious in this type of setting), Dr. Havernick makes it a priority for our dog to be not just medically cared for, but to be comforted while being seen with exceptional professional and personalized attention.
(The primary reason we were referred to him for our vet was because of our dog's "special needs" and the need for a vet who is experienced and educated about treating dogs with individual challanges.)
If you are a first time owner, at any age, new to owning a dog, and new to the area, please see Dr. Havernick first. He and his employees are wonderful, warm, kind, know your pet immediately when you walk through the door and caring. It the best and ONLY place in Marin for newcomers and first time dog owners. The personal attention is extraordinary as is the facility physically.

Posted : 11/19/2008 Comments : To Dr. Havernick and staff ~ We just wanted to express our thanks for how well you interacted with our kitten Parsnip today. He was really afraid, and he started to growl, but you all were so calm, kind and patient with him. Thank you. We are happy to have found a Veterinarian and his staff for our new boys, "Parsnip and "Button" that we feel confident in, and can trust with the care of our kittens throughout their lives.
Sincerely,
Lena and Randall

Posted By : melissa polick Posted : 3/26/2007 Comments : To Dr. Havernick and the Staff of TPH:
Jeff and I want to Thank You for all the tremendous care you gave to our 15 Year old Collie, Mandy. Throughout the past ten years we have been coming only to Your Pet Hospital for health care and kenneling of Mandy.
Your work is simply tremendous. I never had to worry about the care she was receiving because from the Doctors to every staff person and assistant we worked with, she received just the very best of care.
For the first time since my Husband and I have been married, (22 years ago) we have no dog by our side. Mandy was our very special collie dog and it will take some time for us to truly get over the loss we feel. But, when the time is right in the next year, we will head straight back to Tamalpais Pet Hospsital with a new puppy.
Thank you again for everything you did for us.
Melissa & Jeff Polick
